  1. How do I use the video courses?

Capstone Academic programs are designed to be used independently by the students. The student will receive the entire course contents by simply watching and studying all the DVD's contained in each course. However, we have included a consumable textbook as a reference for your student to look back on. All the DVD content is included in the textbook, and all the textbook content is included on the DVD. In this way, the needs of every learning style are met.

  2. Is this a complete curriculum?

Yes! Capstone courses are complete curricula with no need for supplementation.

  3. What are the "parent's guides "?

Parent's guides are provided as a quick reference for parents. They summarize the material learned each day in a few sentences. In this way parents can ask their "student" what they learned that day. We believe that at the junior high and high school levels, students should be on their way to independent learning. However, we also know the importance of parental guidance. The parent guides help parents stay informed of what their son or daughter is learning, and provide a way to keep their student accountable.

  4. Do we need to do the labs?

To get the most out of the lab experience, we recommend doing the labs at home, while watching and listening to the instructor do the labs on the DVD.

  5. Are the lab supplies included?

We have put together a kit containing the supplies used in our biology labs. You may also purchase a microscope and microscope case from us. These are optional and may be purchased here.

  6. Do you offer a package for families who co-op?

Yes! If you are using our curriculum for a classroom or a co-op with more than 3 students, please contact us for information on our group package.

  7. How can I place an order?

You may order online, by fax or by mail. To download a printer-friendly fax/mail order form, click here.
